Ladies Trip to Denver 2011

Denver was our destination this year, we got 40.00 each way tickets, 5 ladies in one room, and 1 bathroom to share. You just don't see this many ladies who can get along together as well as we did. No problems, it was so much fun! We just love to be together for our trips each year!!

We went up the canyons to Pikes Peak, we stopped on the way up to a little amusement park, called "The North Pole", we stopped to use the bathroom and get a look around, notice the snow already!

Funny to see Santa Clause in against the mountains side.

We got a photo opp in the Santa's sled.

Pretty mountain side! It was cold and windy, it was also very high in elevation, 1400 feet on top. I kind of got motion or elevation sick, I don't usually get sick like that, I didn't like it too much! When we stopped to walk around it helped a bit, but I was on edge for a while.

Such beautiful scenery! You can see so far!!

Another look from the top.

We spotted a deer, I think it's a 4 point. It seemed to just pose for us.

Closer look.

Look out at the mountain, it was snowing, pretty picture.

And of course we went to the Denver temple, how wonderful to have such great friendships and also be able to do some temple work with them!

It was a cold day outside!

Downtown Denver, their state capital, looks like gold leaf on the dome.

still down town, in the arts and city center.

strange big sculptures, we're being whisked away with the trash.

I was intrigued by the architecture, so many different kinds of buildings and so many different angles and designs

The US mint, we should have had some money printed for us, we could have used more!!

more downtown

Twin buildings

OK, just so you know, Denver Walmart is fun to visit too. Here you see just a few things we had to figure out how to get home, you wouldn't believe how women can work these things out, 5 women can do miracles!!

It's so fun to shop with your friends, even in Walmart, we also wen to a few outlet malls in the area, we did allot of shopping there too, I should have gotten some pictures of that!

We had so much fun just catching up on every thing and just getting away from the normal everyday things. I just love to be with these wonderful ladies!! Looking forward to many more!! By the way this group has been doing these trips for 18 years!! We're looking forward to 19 next year and then for our 2oth we will try to make it extra special!! Love you girls so much!!!

Keeton's School Carnival

we went to Keeton's school carnival last Friday, we played a the playground where he plays for recess, then we walked around to look at all the different things to do. Keeton and Maloree did a little duck race and both got a rubber duck to keep. Then Keeton threw a ball at the dunking machine and hit the mark and dunked the boy. We ate pizza and hot dogs and got bit by mosquitoes. Then called it a night we are so proud of how great Keeton is doing in school, he loves his teacher and friends and is coming home with some new words like "Oh Crud". Funny kid! He is still using both hands to write with, that is just not heard of too much, he is just using both sides of his brain, smarty guy!

We are so happy to support and go to Keetons and Malorees fun things. Looking forward to doing more and more, it reminds us of his dad's and sister's fun things at school!
